After graduating Ecole D’architecture de Paris near the top of his class, Daniel Pouzet was recruited by the prestigious Cesar Pelli architecture firm where he began a journey that would result in him taking a seat at the table amongst some of the world’s most influential designers. Beginning in 1996 as the lead architect for Philippe Starck, arguably one of the world's most influential designers, Daniel collaborated on several high profile projects that included the Sanderson and St. Martin’s Lane hotels in London, the Hudson hotel in New York, as well as Wedge Too, a 210 ft. super yacht. These labors sharpened Daniel’s skill to master highdesign projects in interior design, industrial design as well as furniture design.
In 2000 Daniel partnered with famed designer Jean MarieMassaud to create Studio MassaudPouzet. This partnership resulted in a series of spectacular high design projects that include the Lancôme boutiques in Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai, exhibition designs for Renault in Paris, Geneva and Frankfurt and the master plan for the resort DEDON island in the Philippines. This liaison culminated with the design of the Omnilife soccer stadium, in Guadalajara, Mexico. The stadium project was honored with the distinction as the world’s most sustainable stadium.
Daniel’s most recent endeavors have brought us products such as the Nest Collection for DEDON, the world’s most premiere outdoor furniture brand.
Nest Rest, the floating, outdoor chaise, won the prestigious “GOOD” design award in 2012. It is considered one of the most beautiful and disruptive products of the last decade.
