We love fall here at Sage. Crisp weather, warm fall flavors, changing décor to match the season, and, for the first time in a long time, the Chicago Cubs are still playing.
Enjoy our quick ode to autumn:
FALL DESIGN INSPIRATION
Posted by Gregory Han on Design Milk
Before it gets too cold to work outside, take some inspiration from Design Milk and build a tiny backyard escape. This ultra-chic “tool shed” is a great way to add some indoor/outdoor entertaining space without taking up too much space in yard.
PLEASANT FALL WEATHER
We’ve been so lucky with fall weather so far here in Chicago. What normally becomes blustery and wet as soon as the calendar turns to October has instead been mild and sunny. We know it won’t last, and pretty soon we’ll be knee-deep in snow, but we’re loving the unseasonably warm temp while they're here. We hope everyone checked out Open House Chicago this fall- if you missed it this year definitely include it on your must-see bucket list for 2017.
CUBS MAKE HISTORY
The Chicago Cubs are playing in the World Series for the first time since 1945, the longest streak in Major League Baseball. Chicagoans everywhere are Flying the W, a tradition started by the Cubs in the 1940s to indicate that the Cubs had won the game that day. Celebrity fans like Bill Murray are showing their support, as well as local businesses like Little Goat- owned by beloved Chicago chef Stephanie Izard. Lots of four-legged fans sported Cubs gear to support their favorite team.
